  1. it was absolute please to read about you, and I am really glad to tell you that during my one year exchange program in U.S.A I went to Portland Oregon and saw some coll places in Oregon and loved it! although I was placed in Hawaii, and went to school there. so glad to have you found here on wordpress.

    1. Hi Nida! Thanks so much, I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog! Portland, Oregon, is truly an amazing place. (Hawaii wouldn’t be bad either). Come back and visit sometime!

  2. Hi Leah, thanks so very much for making the world a better place! And about that piggy, glad you didn’t take part in the pre-dinner ceremony! In this case better to regret for not having done, than to regret for having done so! Blessings in your journey!!

  5. Stumbled upon the page. Love Mr. Botibol. One of the finest short story characters of the modern era. If you’re in USA, we should talk more – stranger.

  6. Leah, You are a great spirit. Found your blog in reading on Alzheimer’s and low fat diets. My hero is a Dr. Joel Wallach who has been ‘preaching’ just that for years now. We work to give people their health back free from prescription drugs. There is a revolution happening in alternative healthcare.

  7. Interesting storyabout trekking inPhongsaly. Ihave been trekking in Laos in the neighbourhood of viengpouka dring my last file hollidays. I Will go Bach to Laos again in July 2013. How idd you make contact for the trekking that started in Hatsa ?

    Have a nice day,
    Marc /belgium

    1. Thanks, Marc! Glad you found it useful. Have fun on your upcoming trip to Laos – it will be great! For the Phongsali trekking contact – we just asked around town about a trekking guide, because there were no established tourist-friendly store fronts around the area. My suggestion is to just start asking around town and you should find someone! As a side note – it did turn out that the trekking guide we hired robbed me of some cash during the trek… so watch out! 🙂
